I can’t remember my first spiritual experience, but I do know there are things I have always ‘known’. I strongly believe that there is more to life than what we can see, and that everything consists of energy. Once we tap into this energy amazing things can happen.

Words, language, communication, thinking and action have always fascinated me. I wrote my first 'book' at age four, a Christmas present for my Nan, handmade from sheets of paper I’d joined together, illustrated with drawings of robins and Christmas trees.
Once I’d started writing I never stopped. I sometimes wonder if all the ink I’ve used were laid out in a straight line, how many times it would circle the globe …
Anyway, from this auspicious beginning, my love of language and communication led me to gain a master’s degree in Linguistics from Edinburgh University; win an international writing award and a national speaking award; run a communication skills training business; gain professional speaking qualifications; work as an international speaker; teach English as a Foreign Language; and produce several newsletters and email services.

Over the years I've established new services that are of benefit to others, including a women’s business network group; a support group for people with home based businesses; a chapter of the professional speakers’ association, and an email speaking practice service based on a Dale Carnegie principle.
"Do you ever stop?" asks my Mum. Yes I do, actually. Blobbing out with a hot drink, some chocolate and a word puzzle is one of the ways.

Having always felt drawn to East Africa, my family and I moved to live in Jinja, a small town in Uganda for two years where I helped establish a small school for local children, which I ran for 18 months. I loved living there and my long term plan is to live in  East Africa again.

Along with my husband I invest in real estate, buying and renovating properties. Organising tradespeople, buying goods at the DIY store, along with going up and down ladders with a paintbrush is a good balance to sitting at a desk :-)

Originally from Liverpool in the UK, I now live 12,000 miles away in New Zealand, something I attribute to being born on a Thursday, Thursday’s child has far to go. I’m married to Jon, have two children Jordan and Kira, and a very tame blue tongued lizard called Rafiki. I enjoy walking, meeting up with friends, time with my family, spiritual development and crafts, and would refuse to be stranded on a desert island if there were no pens, paper or chocolate.
